BIO
Hideka Minami is a Japanese artist based in New York City. Her work investigates how social and perceptual systems shape human experience, often examining moments where delayed-recognition becomes distorted, and reorganized.
Minami trained in special effects makeup and fashion design before turning to her studio practice. She is Brooklyn College’s 2026 Salutatorian with a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree.
